YouTube Algorithm Mechanics...

The algorithm used by Youtube is a complex mixture of human and computer manipulation. The platform's staff members and their systems have complete control over the flow of your channel, making it more of a rented room than a social media platform that you own. At certain hours per region, Youtube intentionally reduces the number of likes, views, and subscriptions on your channel. This can result in a sudden loss of subscribers in a single day. It's important to understand that your channel is not truly yours, but rather a part of their platform. In order to succeed, you must differentiate between "my channel" and "their platform" and find a solution that works within these parameters. The algorithm works in the following ways to influence your channel:
1. Unlike your videos
2. Unview your videos
3. Unsubscribe your channel through videos

There are three main reasons why this may occur:
A. Fraudulent accounts will have all of their engagement, including likes, views, and subscriptions, removed from your channel.
B. Suspicious accounts will have their engagement removed, but will still remain connected to your channel. However, their actions will not count towards your channel's counters.
C. Low quality channels will have all of their engagement erased, including likes, views, and subscriptions.

A channel may be considered low quality in two cases:
1. Inactivity - if you do not consistently produce videos on a weekly basis, Youtube may view your channel as a "DUD" (dead, useless, or dying).
2. Irrelevant target audience - if your new subscribers are interested in a different type of content than what your channel offers, Youtube may remove their engagement and redirect it to channels with a larger and more relevant audience.

In summary, Youtube does not play fair with content creators, regardless of the size of their audience. In order to survive their "penalties" and dishonesty, it is crucial to consistently increase your engagement through likes, views, and subscriptions. Additionally, taking advantage of promotional opportunities and collaborating with other channels can help mitigate the effects of Youtube's algorithm. However, it is important to note that success on the platform also requires being skilled in all aspects of content creation. Let's not forget the fact that collabs may endanger your reputation and your audience can be stolen from you. You have to be super careful. Someone loons may abuse your success to their advantage and bring your niche to downhill. Never share your recipes and never say anything on what you do with your channel. Your objective solely is to create something you are good at and nobody else. That is how unfair the algorithm on YouTube is. View for view and like for like will never workout.
